Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Chairman of the Russian Book Union Sergey Stepashin

On 24 May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the Russian Book Union Sergey Stepashin , who came to Kazan to take part in events of the festival “The Literature Flagship of Russia” held on 23-25 May, issued further steps in strengthening business connections, development of the book industry market and measures for making reading more popular.

The Head of the Office of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov and the regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova also took part in the meeting.

According to the results of 2023 Tatarstan was awarded the title of “The Literature Flagship of Russia” and was announced to be the most reading region of Russia.
