Aleksey Pesoshin at a meeting of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers on the results of 2023-2024 heating season: In total the fuel and energy and the housing utilities sectors have ensured stable work

On 24 May, speaking at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic on the results of 2023-2024 heating season held with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Chairman of the regional State Council Yuri Kamaltynov, the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin said: ”Due to well-coordinated work of municipalities and the housing utilities and energy enterprises the preparation to the heating season of 2023-2024 was done as planned.

He emphasized that the main index of readiness of municipalities for the heating season is getting the readiness passport and according to the results of a check carried out by the Volga Directorate of the Rotechnadzor all 45 municipalities got the passports on time.

Having listed all facilities which were prepared for the season, Aleksey Pesoshin reminded that unfortunately in autumn 2023 and winter 2024 there were also emergencies with cutting off heat supply during the season.

“There were 3 596 emergencies during the heating season which is a big number. I ask the regional Construction Ministry, heads of heat supplying organizations and heads of municipalities to step up the control over the heating season preparations. Grid companies need to tighten control over the preparation work quality,” he said.

Aleksey Pesoshin reminded participants of the meeting that from September 2023 to May 2024  Tatarstan State Housing Inspection received 14 748 complaints from residents of the republic about bad services, with more than half of them related to maintenance of . communal property. The number of complaints on work of managing organizations on charging the communal services also increased, he said.

Tatarstan Prime Minister also informed that the population utility arrears make 9bn 971m 265 thousand rubles as of 1 May 2024.

The Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Unities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin made a more detailed report about the heating season of 2023-2024 and tasks to be solved during preparations for the next season.
