On 23 May, during his visit to the Nizhnekamskneftekhim manufacturing complex which is a part on the SIBUR Company, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the SIBUR Director General Mikhail Karisalov, who accompanied him, got acquainted with implementation of new investments projects, namely the EP-600 and a mechanical plant.
The EP-600 complex has begun the commissioning and start-up phase of the cracking gas compressor with the capacity of 39.9 MWh, which will manufacture first produce of ethylene, propylene, benzyl, butadiene and other by-products in the end of 2024 with its main consumers being the Kazan Organic Synthesis Plant and hexene production shop at the Nizhnekamsneftekhim
Another SIBUR investments project is creation of a modern mechanical plant to increase efficiency of the company own production of units for company facilities repairs by 30 times by replacing current old equipment to the digital and high accuracy one.
“There is no doubt it will be a modern plant with advanced equipment. It is also important to set up sharing experiences and skill as there are all opportunities for that,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
The share of Russian produced equipment at the renovated plant will make more than 90 per cent and the project is to be implemented by the end of 2025.
