Rustam Minnikhanov meets King of Bahrain

On 22 May in Moscow, speaking at his meeting with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who came to Russia on the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “The Russian Federation attaches big importance to interaction with Bahrain. Our country considers the Kingdom to be an important trade-economic and investments partner in the Middle East.” 

He thanked the King for the participation of a delegation from Bahrain in the KazanForum, which took place last week in Kazan, mentioning the special contribution of the Member of the Royal Family Sheikh Hamad bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa. “A good friend of Tatarstan, the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of Bahrain Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who is also a member of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World”, makes a valuable contribution into its work,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized. 

He informed that as a result of reciprocal visits, last year the trade turnover grew by 30 times and reached 450 thousand dollars and proposed Bahrain companies to take part in investments projects in Tatarstan.   

In his turn the King of Bahrain emphasized that he is glad to be in Russia on the invitation from the President of the country Vladimir Putin and said that during his next visit he would like to come to Kazan.
