Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for political affairs Ali Bagheri

On 17 May, speaking at his meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for political affairs Ali Bagheri on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Russian Federation and Iran are long-time and close partners, we are united by the common vision in resolving burning international problems. The cooperation of our countries gains special value and meaning under conditions of a crisis in international relations.”

He reminded that leaders of Iran and Russia keep up a dialogue and make reciprocal visits.

“Tatarstan tries to make its contribution into the development of Russia-Iran ties,” Rustam Minnikhanov said and reminded that in February this year he visited Tehran and Ispahan and was received by the President of Iran Mister Ebrahim Raisi.

In his turn the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister said: “I am happy to have a chance to meet you and would like to express special thanks for finding time for that despite your tight work schedule during the KazanForum. Your first visit to Iran became a turning point not only in the development of regional relations but at the level of the Republic as well.”
