Rustam Minnikhanov meets Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Pankin

On 16 May on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Pankin and thanked him for the support given by the Ministry to the republic in development of international cooperation.

He said special words of gratitude for huge work in inscription of the Astronomy Observatory of Kazan Federal University into the UNESCO World Heritage List and emphasized: ”Due to well-coordinated and dedicated work we managed to overcome all difficulties and to reach the target goal.” 

In his turn Aleksandr Pankin stressed the contribution of Tatarstan into strengthening ties between Russia and the Islamic world and the importance of the KazanForum held in the republic. 

In the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the Medal of the Order of Merit for Tatarstan to Aleksandr Pankin and the memorial medal of 100th Anniversary of the TASSR to the Deputy Director of the Department on Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relation of the Russian Foreign Ministry Tatyana Dovgalenko.
