Rais of Tatarstan: Cooperation of Tatarstan and Libya has a substantial potential

On 15 May, speaking at his meeting with the First Deputy of the Head of the High Council of State of Libya Massoud Abid on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Russia is for achievement of final longtime stability on Libya, strengthening its solidarity and sovereignty and provision of progressive social and economic development. “Our country is ready to facilitate the progress of the internal Libyan political process. Our countries have rich cooperation experience,” he said. 

The Rais of Tatarstan stated: “Our trade turnover is not substantial yet but we have all opportunities for increasing its amounts.” 

He told about main branches of the economy of the republic, its leading enterprises and development of Halal industry. “We actively interact with Islamic world and the OIC country-members. Much work is being done along the line of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World”, which I am the head of by the errand from the Administration of the country,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.

In his turn Massoud Abid thanked the Rais of the republic for an invitation to Tatarstan and a warm welcome and gave high evaluation to the level of the organizations of the KazanForum. “Everything is organized properly. Yesterday we visited the Halal produce exhibition. The business programme of the Forum is very rich and I am sure the Forum will facilitate the development of our friendly ties,” he added.
