Rais of Tatarstan meets Heads of regional Academies of Sciences of Russia

On 14 May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and heads of four regional Academies of Sciences of Russia, namely Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, the Republic of Saha (Yakutia) and Chechnya discussed priority directions of developing cooperation between regional academies of sciences in scientific-technical and innovational spheres.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We are very pleased that we have a contact at the level of regional academies and we fruitfully work together.” 

On 8 December 2023 the academies signed an agreement on the establishment of the Association of Regional Academies of Sciences, the aim of which is to unite efforts of scientists for solution of common problems of the scientific development of the society, coordination of work and implementation of joint projects in scientific research, coordination of the academies scientific policy and support of most promising spheres of research.

At their expanded meeting of the Association in Kazan on 14 May, the participants represented results of their interaction with scientific centers of their colleague-regions and told about their expectations from future work.
