Rustam Minnikhanov at a ceremony of launching the construction of “Druzhba (Friendship) Industrial Park: It means big investments and new jobs for the municipality and the republic

On 23 April, speaking at a ceremony of launching the construction of the “Druzhba (Friendship) Industrial Park located in Zelenodolsk municipality of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: ”Today we are launching a new project of the industrial-logistics park Druzhba. It is a very serious project by the Yandex Company. It means big investments and new jobs for the municipality and the republic and an opportunity of manufacturing and promoting our produce.”

He said “We have defined the plant commissioning dates and of cause I think this project is successful. Let’s get started!”

The Head of Zelenodolsk region Mikhail Afanasyev said that the new project is an important event for the region. “It will be a whole ecosystem. We are grateful to the Rais of Tatarstan for supporting the project and to investors for their trusting us,” he said.

The Director of the R1 group of companies Dmitriy Reutt, who also took part in the ceremony, said:” The Park is based on a certain philosophy. It is not just a fashionable trend for us, but a theory based on which we think that the park will hold its relevance 50 and 100 years later. We are grateful for the opportunity of implementing this project– a new generation industrial park.”

The Operational Director of the Yandex Aleksandr Kostin reminded that the e-trade growth rate is very high in Tatarstan. “Of cause we can see it in the Yandex.Market and believe that the park will be launched in the beginning of 2025. It will be the second largest center in Russia. We are very grateful to the Government of the republic and our partners – it was very fruitful work.”
