On April 11, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in China - Changchun City of Jilin Province, where he is scheduled to visit local enterprises, participate in the Jilin-Tatarstan round table, as well as a meet with the provincial authorities.
Jilin is a province in northeastern China with population amounting to 24 million people and large industrial and agricultural region.
The province has a developed engineering sector (production of automobiles, railway transport, agricultural machinery, machine tools, electrical appliances), oil and chemical industries (synthetic ammonia, ethylene, sulfuric acid), pharmaceutical production, textile and food industries, and electric power industry. Crop production is also the most important industry for the province. Local farmers cultivate corn, irrigated rice, wheat, soybeans, sunflowers, sugar beets, tobacco, vegetables, fruits, mushrooms and other crops.
