Rustam Minnikhanov meets President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board Andrey Kostin

On 8 April at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board Andrey Kostin discussed issues of further mutually beneficial cooperation of the republic with the VTB Bank in various spheres.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Administration of the VTB and personally Andrey Kostin for joint work.

“We are meeting to discuss our further promising plans. Today there are 34 offices of your bank in 9 cities of the republic, with the credit portfolio of legal entities making 241bn rubles. Projects being implemented are important. And of course thanks in large part to you they are all working,” he said.

In his turn Andrey Kostin emphasized that “cooperation of the VTB and Tatarstan is successful mainly due to your work and conditions created here.”

“Today the VTB is the key partner of the regional business and we are the leaders in the amount of giving credits to legal entities. We can see the impressive dynamics of development of Tatarstan and will use all opportunities to support the republic in implementation of the largest investments projects in all key spheres of economy – in construction of housing and transport infrastructure, development of industry and renovation of industrial capacities,” he said.

During the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov handed in Andrey Kostin the state award of Tatarstan – the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan for his substantial contribution into strengthening the social and economic capacity of the republic and handed in the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan to the Manager of the Bank VTB Operations Office in the republic – Vice-President Maryam Davletshin a for her special contribution and improvement of the banking system and long-term work.
