On March 23, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin via video conference with all regions of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported on the implementation of housing construction programmes, the provision of housing for certain categories of citizens, as well as the start of work on the construction of social and cultural facilities, public spaces and the modernization of engineering infrastructure.
The general plan for housing construction has been completed by 42 per cent, namely, 1 million 332 thousand square meters of housing have been commissioned. Under commercial construction, 11 per cent of the planned amout was commissioned - 42 apartment buildings with a total area of 165,000 square meters. In social mortgage programme, the annual plan was fulfilled by 33 per cent: 14 of 56 planned houses with the total area of 54,000 square meters commissioned. To date, 8,245 houses with an area of 1 million 113 thousand square meters have been commissioned under individual housing construction programme, which makes 74 per cent of the annual plan. This year, 84 young families living in 41 municipalities should purchase new housing. To date, all certificates have been handed in, preparations for transferring funds to the personal accounts of the executive committees of municipalities are underway.

Then, the Minister reported on the implementation of regional and federal programmes of construction of social facilities, engineering infrastructure and improvement of public spaces. To date, two planned programmes to support housing have been contracted.
Ayzatullin also informed about implementation of regional and federal programmes of construction of public spaces, engineering infrastructure and improvement of public spaces and federal and regional programmes in Education, Healthcare, Youth Policy, Sports and Culture and Ecology.
The Minister separately focused on the issue of labor protection at construction sites. The State Construction Supervision and Inspection Service has carried out 268 construction site surveys and issued 24 decisions on administrative liability.
On April 1, the “Clean Construction” campaign starts in the republic and will last two months. It is an integral part of the national sanitary and environmental two-month cleaning campaign, which is aimed at ensuring cleanliness and preventing pollution of the territories of cities and settlements.
