Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the 52th session of Tatarstan State Council

On 29 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and members of the government of the republic took part in the 52th session of the State Council of the sixth convocation of the republic held by its Deputy Chairman Yuriy Kamaltynov. 

The agenda of the meeting consisted of 20 issues including 9 regional and 2 federal draft laws and after discussion the agenda increased up to 26 issues.

All nine regional draft laws including those which introduce amendments into regional laws on investments activity, automobile roads and road economy, the physical culture and sports, additional support measures for families with many children and other, were discussed in the first reading. 

The President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov informed participants of the session about results of the Academy work, maim five key tasks the Academy is facing today, attracting special attention to close cooperation with universities by supporting students’ startups.

“By supporting and development of technological entrepreneurship we are trying to implement what we have always wanted to – to establish a link “universities – power bodies-business,” he emphasized.

Rifkat Minnikhanov also informed that in the next three years there will be 723m rubles additionally allocated on the programmes of scientific and technological development, including 311m to be spent on development projects and 412m for supporting advanced engineering schools.

Having said that according to results of 2023 Tatarstan moved from fifth to second place in National Scientific and Technological ranking of Russia, the President of the Academy also told about participation of the institution in implementation of the Year of scientific and technological development in the republic.

The members of the Council also discussed results of work of members of the Russian State Duma from Tatarstan of the eighth convocation presented to them by the Member of the Duma Ayrat Farrakhov, who told about the number of draft laws promoted, requests coming from the electorate and fulfilled by the members and work with complaints coming from citizens.

The session also discussed the resulting reports of the work of Children’s Ombudsmen of the republic, the Entrepreneurs Ombudsmen and the Public Chamber of the republic.
