On 25 March at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the Wildberries Company Tatyana Bakalchuk discussed issues of further development of cooperation including a possibility of establishing a center where all most in-demand goods will be localized.
At the meeting Tatyana Bakalchuk stated: ”We have analyzed the results and can see that sales of Tatarstan manufacturers are escalating at the marketplace. We can see how some brands reach nearly 300 per cent a year. So an idea leaped into our minds to establish a huge cluster so that both local manufactures as well as those from other regions can “land” there.”
It was said that today there is a task of localization of the most in-demand goods in Russia. And Tatarstan as a region with its advantageous location, well-developed transport and logistics infrastructure and good conditions for doing business is considered as a site for such localization.
The regional Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, the Entrepreneurs Ombudsmen Farid Abdulganiev, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin and other regional officials also took part in the meeting.
