Rustam Minnikhanov attends a gala concert in honor of the Russian presidential elections

On March 17, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin attended a concert organized in honor of the Russian presidential elections. The event was organized on the ground in front of the Ak Bars Arena stadium. In total, 51,000 people visited the concert during the holiday programme.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Tatarstan citizens for participating in the elections and for showing an active civic position. “These are challenging times, but there is no doubt that we will overcome all difficulties. Tatarstan is a stronghold of our country, and Kazan is the best city, because magnificent people like you live here! We in turn will do everything to ensure that our republic prospers further, and the leadership of the country provides us with great support in this,” the Rais of Tatarstan said.

For the first time this year the presidential elections are held in a multi-day format - from March 15 to 17. On March 17, at 8 p.m. the elections were over.

At all 2,767 polling stations of the republic, election commissions began counting votes.
