Housing commissioning plan has been fulfilled by 39 per cent or 1m 249 thousand square meters as of 16 March in Tatarstan

On 16 March, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov via video conference with all regions of the republic with the regional prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin taking part in it, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Aleksey Frolov reported about current state of programmes of housing, public spaces and cultural facilities construction and engineering infrastructure modernization in the republic.

Reporting about labour protection and trauma accidents at construction sites, Aleksey Frolov informed that since the beginning of the year self-regulating organizations carried out 552 checks, imposing disciplinary actions on 109 organizations as a result. He also informed about checks carried out by specialists of the State Construction Surveillance and the Chief Investments-Construction Directorate.

He also reported that as of 16 March the housing construction plan has been fulfilled by 39 per cent with 1m 249 thousand square meters having been already commissioned. He also reported about fulfillment of the commercial housing and individual housing construction plans, provision of accommodation for orphaned children, young families, families with many children, forced migrants and other categories of migrants.

Aleksey Frolov also told participants of the meeting about implementation of regional and federal programmes of construction of public spaces, engineering infrastructure and improvement of public spaces and federal and regional programmes in the fields of Education, Healthcare, Youth Policy, Sports and Culture and Ecology.

Speaking about engineering infrastructure modernization, he reminded that in the current year five regional and two federal programmes include work on 250 facilities with all contracts planned to be signed by the end of April this year.

In conclusion Aleksey Frolov congratulated all workers of communal services with their professional holiday to be celebrated on the coming Sunday.

Speaking about the Housing Utilities sector, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that not a single reform will be able to give results without training qualified personnel. He said that this topic should be promoted and it is necessary to talk about demand of these specialists and raise the prestige of the sphere.
