Rais of Tatarstan gives an errand to ensure conditions for events during the Ramadan month and the Pancake week

On 9 March, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to ensure all necessary conditions for holding religious ceremonies and events during the Ramadan month and the Pancake week. 

“The holy month of Ramadan starts tomorrow evening after sunset. The Muslims will begin fasting which is one of the pillars of Islam. Also the Pancake week starts from 11 March. It is good that these events coincide,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized and gave an errand to heads of cities and regions to organize local events during the Pancake week. 

He also emphasized that it is important to ensure all necessary conditions for Muslims and the Orthodoxy for holding religious ceremonies and events during the Ramadan month and the Pancake week and take measures for providing public security and order.
