Rustam Minnikhanov arrives to Sochi and visits pavilions and sites of the World Youth Festival-2024

On 6 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working trip to the International Airport of Sochi to take part in a closing ceremony of the World Youth Festival 2024.

Right upon his arrival, Rustam Minnikhanov attended campuses of five cities of Russia – Moscow, Kazan, Yamal, Nizhniy Novgorod and Belgorod organized at the Medal Square of the federal territory Sirius by the World Youth Festival.

Accompanied by Tatarstan Minister of Youth Affairs Rinat Sadykov and the Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs and the Cochairman of the Russian Schoolchildren Movement Damir Fattakhov, the Rais of Tatarstan visited Kazan pavilion which exhibits presentations and art-platforms and organizes educational programmes, cultural evenings, master classes and concerts.

In the pavilion Rustam Minnikhanov also talked to representatives of the delegation of the republic and volunteers from Tatarstan, stating that the Kazan pavilion differs from the other ones.

“But most important everywhere are people. The most talented, most beautiful and most successful. Holding the youth festival is very important for Russia today. Young people from nearly 190 countries are taking part in this big event and the delegation from Tatarstan is one of the most active,” he emphasized.

On top of that in Sochi Rustam Minnikhanov also had a meeting with the Chairman of the Russian Movement of Children and Youth “The Movement of the First” Grigoriy Gurov where they discussed interaction of the region and the Movement, development of a programme for pre-school educational organizations and so on. Tatarstan is the pilot region of Russia as far as the work of the Movement of the First with pre-school organizations is considered.

The parties of the meeting also brought up such topics as holding various federal and international level events in Tatarstan with participation of the Movement of the First.
