On 5 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a plenary session of the XII All-Russia gathering of entrepreneurs from Tatar villages which gathered 800 representatives of small business, farmers and small farms from 40 regions of Russia including Tatarstan, in the Korston Hotel and Recreation Center in Kazan. The three-day programme of the event includes discussions, cultural events and a trip to Kukmor region to get acquainted with the experience of developing rural areas.
Upon his arrival to Korston Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the exhibition-fair of products manufactured in different regions of Russia and arts and crafts which represented elements of national clothes and diverse food products.
At the meeting representatives from different parts of Russia told about their business experience and issues of supporting of Tatar language and traditions.
In his speech Rustam Minnikhanov informed that today there are 4 200 Tatar villages in the country and active work of local entrepreneurs facilitates development of these territories and preservation of a distinctive character of Tatar villages. “It is the 12th time we are having this forum and during all these years it has proved to be an authoritative platform where we can discuss issues which worry us. Preservation of native language and culture can be done only by joining our efforts. You are our reliable support. Implementing your business projects you help your fellow villagers and facilitate preservation of Tatar villages. We can learn a lot from you,” he emphasized.
The Rais of Tatarstan stated that today big attention is attached to supporting the military taking part in the special military operation and their families. “Each of you helps our soldiers and this unites us all. The most important today is the victory. We must win,” he added.
In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov handed in a number of Tatarstan state awards for the contribution into the preservation and development of Tatar cultural traditions.
