On 3 March the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko, Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of closing the International Multi-sports Tournament “The Games of the Future at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center .
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister thanked all those who provided services, comfort and security of the Games participants and spectators. “Once again you have proved what you can do in Kazan at an impossible level!” he said.
He emphasized that Tatarstan is passing the baton to next countries to continue the tradition of large-scale phygital games. “It is a pleasure for athletes and spectators to involve as many friends as possible into the phygital movement,” Dmitriy Chernyshenko said.
In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for the decision to hold innovative games and trusting Kazan to host the first Games of the Future. “Today’s event is solemn even though slightly sad. For two weeks the capital of Tatarstan was the center of attention of the whole world community. I want to say sincere thanks to the administration of the country and Russian President Vladimir Putin for trusting us to host the first Games of the Future , and other heads of the CIS countries for having found time to attend the Games,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the whole republic was trying to do its best to organize the Games at the highest level. “We tried to make it comfortable and interesting for you. I also thank all Tatarstan residents for traditional warmth and hospitality to guests of the republic,” he added.
