On 3 March the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko, Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn ceremony of awarding the best volunteers of the International Multi-sports Tournament “The Games of the Future” held right before the ceremony on the phygital Games closure at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.
The best 21 volunteers out of 2 thousand people from 22 countries and 46 regions of Russia were handed in Letters of Gratitude for helping organizers at sports grounds, providing different services and accompanying teams and delegations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dmitriy Chernyshenko reminded that the volunteers’ movement started developing in Russia on the threshold of the Universiade-2013 in Kazan and the Olympics in Sochi. “You professionalism helped to hold the Games of the Future at the high level in Kazan. Thank you so much for you work and the most precious you have given – your time,” he said.
In his turn Oleg Matytsin said: “You have done another miracle born in Russia, in Tatarstan, which gave the world a project of phygital sphere. We are proud that Russia gives the world the great project and joy of communication.”
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Dmitriy Chernyshenko and Oleg Matytsin were pioneers of modern history of origins of voluntary activities in Russia. “Thousands of passionate people from various regions of Russia and dozens of countries of the world helped us to hold the Games of the Future. I thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart. We are proud that our games are the best in the world and you are the best volunteers,” he stressed.
