Rustam Minnikhanov meets Uzbekistan Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev via videoconference

On 28 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a videoconference meeting with Uzbekistan Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Oleg Korobchenko, the Director General of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev and other officials taking part in it.

In his opening speech, Rustam Minnikhanov asked his guest to pass words of gratitude to Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for visiting Kazan and taking part in the opening ceremony of the multi-sports tournament “The Games of the Future” as well as for supporting development of cooperation with Tatarstan within the framework of friendly Uzbekistan-Russia relations.

The parties discussed issues of further cooperation in various spheres including establishment and development of technical parks in Uzbekistan. Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that today special attention is given to such projects as development of Chirchik and Djizak technical parks in Uzbekistan opened in 2022 and 2023 accordingly, establishment of an industrial park in the Special Economic Zone of Navoi and a project in Bukhara region.

The work on establishment of opening of technical parks was done with participation of specialists from the Chimgrad Technopolis and the Special Economic Zone of Alabuga of Tatarstan, and the Director General of the SEZ of Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev reported about progress of the joint project of the industrial park in Bukhara.

The participants of the meeting also discussed current issues on the project of establishment of an industrial park in Navoi and further development and expansion of Chirchik and Djizak technical parks.
