Rustam Minnikhanov invites the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik to attend the forums to be held in Tatarstan in 2024

On February 21, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the President of the Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik, who arrived on a working visit in Tatarstan to visit a number of scientific and educational institutions, historical and architectural monuments under the International Multi-sports Tournament “The Games of the Future”.

Addressing Milorad Dodik, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan said: ”We hope your visit to our republic will leave you a positive impression. It is nice that during your visit we are hosting “The Games of the Future” competition. For two weeks, our republic will be a point of attraction for sports and computer game enthusiasts from all over the world. For the first time in world history, Kazan is hosting the International Multi-Sports Tournament “The Games of the Future” - a competition in the innovative “phygital” format that combines cyber-sports competitions and classic sports disciplines”.

Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan and the Republika Srpska are similar in territory and population. Tatarstan is also a multi-religious region. «We have a lot in common», Minnikhanov said.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan briefed about the economic and industrial potential of the region. In recent years, Tatarstan pays a lot of attention to the development of information technologies, there are three IT parks, and a new innovative city Innopolis has been built with a university of the same name. Rustam Minnikhanov invited the guests to visit Innopolis and the university - to see its IT capabilities and prospects. He invited Dodik to attend forums and events to be held in Tatarstan in 2024.

Thus, the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” is planned for May. Last year the event was held in a federal format for the first time. In addition, a forum in the field of digitalization is planned in Kazan in September - Kazan Digital Week. We will be glad to see representatives of the Republika Srpska at the forum, said Rais Tatarstan. “We are interested in developing cooperation with the Republika Srpska,” he assured. In turn, President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik thanked for the opportunity to visit Tatarstan. He invited Rustam Minnikhanov to visit, among other things, the city of Banja Luka.

The parties emphasized their interest in expanding the range and volume of trade, in particular in such areas as mechanical engineering, petrochemicals and energy-saving technologies.
