Rustam Minnikhanov about Games of the Future: The main task is well coordinated work of all organizers and services

Speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that when hosting the international multi-sports tournament of the Games of the Future it is important to ensure well-coordinated work of all organizers and services at all sites.

The Games of the Future will be held in Kazan from 21 February to 3 March in 21 innovative events. As of today more than 600 guests have already arrived to the city. In total there will be 282 international teams from more than 100 countries with more than 2000 athletes taking part in the Games. Head of states are also expected to come.

“The most important is to ensure security at mass events venues and public order in the whole. Our capital bears huge responsibility and first of all for quality maintenance of city roads, streets, sidewalks. Guests are interested in walking round our capital and go sightseeing. That is why the city infrastructure, public transport and hospitality and service facilities must be all at the corresponding level,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
