On 16 February at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Commissioner for the Russian President for the Rights of Business People Boris Titov discussed federal and regional measures for supporting entrepreneurs, decreasing administrative pressure and protection of rights and legal interest of business in the whole.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov informed that according to results of 2023 the regional GRP exceeded 4 trillion rubles, one fourth of which was the contribution of the SMEs. Despite all challenges the business of the republic managed to mitigate many of them, preserve investments attractiveness and reconstruct logistics and sales markets. This mostly became possible due to support of the federal center and personally President Vladimir Putin, he said.
In his turn Boris Titov highly appreciated systemic measures of Tatarstan in supporting entrepreneurship and conditions for implementation of investments projects in the republic.

According to results of 2023 there are 172 500 SME entities in the republic, making Tatarstan first in the Volga Federal District. They employ 859 700 people, including self-employed. Last year the regional SMEs got the total support of 87bn rubles both from the federal and regional budgets.
