Rais of Tatarstan meets Governor of the Iranian Province of Isphahan

On 15 February, speaking at his meeting during his working trip to Iran with the Governor of the Iranian Province of Isphahan Seyed Reza Mortazavi, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov told him about meetings he had in Tehran, including the meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi and thanked the Governor for inviting him to Isphahan.  “It is my first visit to Isphahan and I am greatly impressed by your wonderful province with remarkable history and culture,” he said. 

The Rais of Tatarstan stated that Isphahan is a large industrial center of the country. “You have well developed textile, metallurgical, refining, electrical engineering, aircraft and auto and pharmaceutical branches as well as agriculture. We highly appreciate cooperation between our regions within the framework of Russia-Iran relations. Today under conditions of the unpredictable turbulent world and reconstruction of the whole system of international relations, interaction of our countries gains special value and importance,” he emphasized. 

Rustam Minnikahnov told the Governor about meetings he had and joint work with the administration of Iranian provinces of East Azerbaijan, Khorasan-Rezavi, Golestan and Gilan, which he visited himself. He invited the Governor of Isphahan to come with a reciprocal visit to the International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” where it will be possible to strengthen ties between the regions.

The parties were unison in opinions that Tatarstan and Isphahan could work in a number of key spheres, including exchange of trade and economic delegations, mutual deliveries of industrial goods, cooperation in agribusiness and first of all in manufacturing Halal products, organizing logistics of goods export and import via the Caspian, implementation of investments projects and cooperation in healthcare and discovering mutual tourist potential. 

In the end of his visit, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with work of the medical cluster of the province and attended the Isphahan healthcare city.
