Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the business forum “Isfahan - Tatarstan” in Iran

On February 15, the city of Isfahan of the Islamic Republic of Iran hosted an interregional business forum «Isfahan - Tatarstan», during which two leading in the socio-economic and industrial development of the region of the two countries presented their economic and investment potential, outlined areas for the development of cooperation under the Russian-Iranian inter-State relations.

Governor of Isfahan province Reza Mortazavi and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the forum participants.

Minnikhanov thanked the provincial authorities for their hospitality and on behalf of the delegation of Tatarstan noted that all its members were impressed by the beauty and level of development of the region and the city of Isfahan.

He also expressed hope that during the visit the business circles of both sides will open new areas for cooperation and agree on joint projects. The authorities of the Province of Isfahan revealed the economic potential of the province in more detail.

Consul General of the Russian Federation in Isfahan Andrey Zhiltsov and Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko spoke about the trade-industrial and socio-economic potential of Tatarstan.

The Chairman of the Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism Sergey Ivanov revealed the tourism potential of Tatarstan and encouraged to visit each other more often.

Closing the forum, Reza Mortazavi expressed confidence that all the proposals and initiatives discussed today will be continued, and that many of those present will soon meet again for more detailed discussion and implementation.
