On 10 February the Deputy Head of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko, who came on a working trip to Kazan, and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, accompanied by regional Minister of Sports Vladimir Leonov and Russian Deputy Minister of Sports Azat Kadyrov, looked round the Kazan Academy of Tennis with the aim of giving assessment of the facility readiness for hosting competitions during the international multi-sports phygital “The Games of the Future”.
Since 2011 the Academy is a structural unit of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, which has many times hosted international competition, and the representatives of the Academy reported about the facility “Road map” and it characteristics.
In 2023 the Academy hosted test events of the Games of the Future such as international games “Phygital Live” in phygital football and the phygital tactic fight. During the Games to be held in Kazan from 20 February to 3 March 2024, the Kazan Academy of Tennis will host competitions in three kinds of phygital tactic fight.
