On 10 February the Deputy Head of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko, who came on a working trip to Kazan, and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of opening the Center for Human Capital Development established within the framework of the national project of “Tourism and Hospitality.
The Center is opened at the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and the guests looked round the new facilities of the center including the Digital Studio and listened to the report about its establishment and work. The project got more than 200m rubles from the federal budget in 2023-2024and, speaking at the ceremony, Dmitriy Chernyshenko said: “Russian President said that training specialists is one of priorities and the tourism branch is not an exception. We are already establishing new resorts and tourist facilities within the framework of the national project of “Tourism and Hospitality”. That is why the task of training qualified specialists is important for the development of domestic tourist industry and ensuring high quality of service at already existing and future resorts.”
In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov said:”Every year the tourist flow in Tatarstan grows. By the results of 2023 the tourist flow was about 4m people and the number will grow. The first group of specialists from neighboring regions of the country has already completed its studies at the Center.”
In 2024 the Center will organize training in “Tourist territories management: a project approach” for teams from 21 regions of the country.
Later the same day Dmitriy Chernyshenko presided a meeting on the implementation of the Kazan Marina investments project with the total amount of investments more than 21bn rubles in Laishevo region of the republic. The project Master plan, which was developed by the Tourism.RF Corporation and has been already approved by the Corporation Board and Tatarstan Investments Council, presupposes that the key facility for the development of the future all year round resort will be a full-cycle yacht marina.
Speaking at the meeting, Dmitriy Chernyshenko said :”I know that Tatarstan Government provides active support to the project and the head of the republic has approved it himself. The Kazan Marina will become the first tourist center with the full cycle tourist center and marina on the Volga in the last 30 years. By 2030 the expected tourist flow to the Marina will exceed 620 thousand people a year and it will create nearly 2 thousand jobs.”
The Director General of the Tourism.RF Corporation Sergey Sukhanov, who also took part in the meeting, said: “We have formed 9 investments lots and are actively working with investors. In the first quarter of the year we are planning to organize special project companies for feasibility studies and construction of infrastructural facilities of the future resort.”
In the end of the meeting the Tourism.RF Corporation and investors of the Laishevo Yacht Club and the Kama Riviera Managing Company signed an agreement on intent of implementation of investments lots.
