Rustam Minnikhanov meets Head of the Federal Road Agency (RosAvtoDor) Roman Novikov

On 8 February at their meeting in the Government House of the republic held with participation of regional Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin and Minister of Transport and Road Economy of the republic Farit Khanifov, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Federal Road Agency (RosAvtoDor) Roman Novikov discussed issues of further cooperation in road construction and implementation of promising investments projects.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that road economy is one of the most important for economy as it directly influences the social and economic development of the region and safety and life quality of residents. In 2023 Tatarstan allocated about 250bn rubles on road construction and the Rais of the republic reminded about opening traffic along the new section of the M-12 “East” highway in the end of last year.

He said that the republic is facing large tasks and huge amounts of work and informed about plans of road construction in the republic, including expansion of the M-7 “Volga” highway, regional highway Shali-Bavly and exit highways Kazan-Voznesenskiy Trakt and Gorkovskoye highway.

“We are also doing a huge amount of work by the national project of “Safe and quality Roads” and in all spheres the RosAvtoDor is our reliable partner,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

At the meeting Roman Novikov handed in Rustam Minnikhanov a diploma “For high road traffic safety achieved within the framework of the national project of “Safe and quality Roads”” signed by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin.
