On 5 February , speaking at an expanded meeting of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service (RosPrirodNadzor) held in the IT Park in Naberezhnyye Chelny with participation of the Head of the RosPrirodNadzor Svetlana Radionova and dedicated to results of work of the Interregional Department in 2023 and tasks for 2024, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that today the republic is facing many tasks in the sphere of environmental protection and rational use of nature.
The key note speaker of the meeting was the Head of the Volga-Kama Interregional department Fayaz Shakirov.
In his closing speech, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We have a lot of tasks. Everything we have discussed with you today is not just a whim but creation of conditions for quality environment for our people, residents of our republic.”
He stressed that with the powerful industrial foundation, the region should not forget about quality of water (the federal project “Clear Water”) and development of modern public spaces and creation of life conditions for our residents.
“Yes, we are doing a lot but can see how much is left to be done and what tasks we are facing today including the forestry, water bodies and air quality,” he emphasized.
The Rais of the republic specially stressed out that “we are doing all these not for someone else but for us. It is our land – where we live and where our children and grandchildren will live. Let’s work together in this direction.”
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked everyone who took part in the meeting and added: “We enjoy talking about our achievements but today it is important to speak about what we still have to do.”
At the meeting the RosPrirod Nadzor signed an agreement with Kazan State Power Engineering University and Kazan National Research Technological University about cooperation in the International children and youth award “Ecology concerns everyone”.
In the end of the meeting the most outstanding specialists received a number of state and departmental awards.
