In his address dedicated with the Day of Soviet Troops Defeating German-Fascist troops in Stalingrad battle, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with this event. In his congratulation he wrote: “This day became a symbol of courage, bravery and steadfastness of our people during the Great Patriotic War (WW II).
Soviet soldiers and officers and residents of the hero-city of Stalingrad shed their blood for freeing the Motherland from Fascist invaders. Their selflessness, heroism and dedication deserve deep gratitude and respect.
This date remind us about steadfastness of Soviet people in struggle for freedom and independence. Today we commemorate those who gave their lives for the Motherland and express sincere gratitude to all WWII veterans. Their feats will never be forgotten.”
In conclusion Aleksey Pesoshin wished everyone good health, success and prosperity.
