Rustam Minnikhanov visits the residential complex “The South Park” for employees of the Special Economic Zone of Alabuga and college students

On 31 January during his working trip to Yelabuga, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the residential complex “The South Park” for employees of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Alabuga and college students, built as rental housing by the SEZ within implementation of the human capital strategy.  

On the complex area there are five residential houses for 4 200 people, a children’s playground, a park and a recreational area.

Rustam Minnikhanov visited one of the residential houses, all apartments of which are fully equipped with furniture and home appliances, and talked to its residents – first year students of the Alabuga Politech College. 

The Rais of the republic gave positive assessments the practice of the SEZ in building rental housing for specialists and students.  “It is big and much needed work. The issue of training specialists is number one today,” he said.

Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov visited the SEZ where he got acquainted with work of the Alabuga Politech, which trains 2 thousand students in 18 fields of study. The aimed capacity of the college is 10 thousand students a year and the SEZ Director General Timur Shagivaleev told about the dual education system when in the first half of the day students are trained at the modern equipment under supervision of the best engineers-residents of the special economic zone and in the afternoon study high school subjects.

Then the Rais of Tatarstan visited the AURUS cars production plant launched in May 2021 on the ready-to-work industrial areas build and provided to the investor by the SEZ Alabuga.
