Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a session of the strategic business-mission of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives and the VEB.RF State Corporation

On 26 January the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a resulting session of the strategic business-mission of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives and the state  VEB.RF Development corporation held via videoconference with participation of the Director General of the Association Svetlana Chupsheva and the Director General of the Agency of Economy Transformation and Development Vladislav Onischenko and with all municipalities of the republic in the Government House of the republic.

In his welcoming speech Rustam Minnikhanov greeted participants of the session and briefly state social and economic results of the region in, having stressed that Tatarstan has maintained investments activity having exceeded 1 trillion rubles of the investments amount. The GRP product for the first time exceeded 4 trillion ruble he said.

“We actively interact with the VEB.RF and due to finances allocated by it many mono-cities of the republic, such as Zelenodolsk, Naberezhnyye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk, have established modern industrial platforms. The area of KIP Master Park, which is the largest in Europe, has increased substantially. The VEB.RF also provides huge help in implementation of the large projects of the HAIER Company, namely development of the HAIER industrial park infrastructure. This would be impossible without this support as the company has invested more than 56 bn rubles having created more than 18 000 jobs,” the Rais of the republic said.

He also reminded about three schools built in the republic with the support of the VEB.RF and the technological development programme.

Speaking about interaction with the Agency of Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Rustam Minnikhaov reminded that Tatarstan traditionally is among the first three regions. “We are always in the first three. We also were the first and in 2023 – the second,” he said.

He also reminded about the quality of life ranking carried out by the ASI and concluded:”Today’s meeting is one of other examples of an open and meaningful dialogue of the power and business. Today we will consider promising projects and spheres of cooperation with the VEB.RF and the ASI.”

In her turn Svetlana Chupsheva reminded that from the moment of the ASI establishment Rustam Minnikhanov is the member of the Supervisory Council. “All first projects – and this is still happening – all initiatives appearing at the federal level – are developed with participation of Rustam Minnikhanov and his team. These projects include national entrepreneurship initiative, innovative ranking and defining the quality of life,: she said.

The Head of the ASI emphasized that many projects under implementation today would not be feasible without support of Russian President Vladimir Putin and concluded: “We hope that our today’s meeting will discuss new strategic vectors of life of our country in all key spheres of development. And we count on the support of Tatarstan team and business of the republic – we have always felt this support and we have done many interesting and important projects with you – both for the development of the republic and the development of our country.”
