Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia Batu Khasikov

On January 22, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia Batu Khasikov discussed the issues of interregional interaction and the development of relations in areas. In particular, colleagues from Kalmykia are studying the experience of Tatarstan in such issues as creating conditions for investors, developing domestic tourism, developing public spaces and others.

The creation of a favourable investment climate is an important area. “Tatarstan has a lot to learn. Much has been achieved - if in 2019 there were about 8,000 entrepreneurs in Kalmykia, then today there are more than 16,000. In many ways, we relied on the example of Tatarstan. My personal communication with Rustam Minnikhanov also played an important role. Another direction is the development of domestic tourism. Tatarstan is famous for its success in this issue. And we have adopted a lot, increasing the tourist flow to the region by seven times,” the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia said.

According to Khasikov, it is about the development of infrastructure, the quality of services provided in tourism.
