Rustam Minnikhanov visits new scientific and educational spaces in Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering

On January 22, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Rector of Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering Rashit Nizamov, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Utilities Marat Ayzatullin, Minister of Education of the republic Ilsur Khadiullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and representatives of construction companies visited Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering and got acquainted with the work of new scientific and educational centers “Potoki” (Streams) and “Development”.

In the scientific and educational laboratories of the Potoki Centre, the properties of heat, air, water and gases flows are studied. It forms advanced competences of future specialists in heat and gas supply and ventilation, water supply and sanitation, develop and implement energy-efficient engineering projects of buildings and structures. Rustam Minnikhanov looked around a number of laboratories.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Development centre aimed at solving a complex of economic and managerial problems at all stages of an investment and construction project. The Expertise laboratory has created a digital platform, which gives an opportunity to analyze projects, to identify cost indicators and the degree of readiness of structural elements. Elements of a “smart home” are represented in the “Management” department: models for controlling the heating system of a residential building, indoor microclimate, residential energy efficiency, as well as security system controllers. A separate educational block is devoted to issues of digitalization. University Rector Rashit Nizamov said that the work of the research and educational centers “Potoki” and “Development” is carried out in close cooperation with industrial partners. Companies provide the necessary equipment, software products, and participate in the educational process.
