Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin attend the regional championship in phygital sports

On 19 January the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rutam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin attended the regional championship in phygital sports held in the Ak Bars Sports Palace in Kazan.

In his video welcoming speech to participants of the championship Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitriy Chernyshenko said:” Phygital is a new philosophy of life and personal growth based on traditional values such as openness, transboundariness and absence of discrimination. It is my pleasure to welcome you at the first regional phygital games. In the following days we will see bright fights in five disciplines with participation of the best cyber-athletes of Tatarstan. Russia is a sports power and that is why we meet challenges. Today Kazan is the phygital capital of our country.”

He also reminded that in less than a month Kazan will host the first in history Games of the Future which will unite more than 260 teams form more than 100 countries.

“Organizing the games we tell the hold world that we are open for a sports dialogue. I am sure we will not only hold competitions at the highest level but will also involve new countries in the new sports movement,” he concluded.

Addressing the participant and fans, Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded about Games of the Future and expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Government of the country and Dmitriy Chernyshenko for their trust in the republic.

“Dear friends, it is very impressing to watch these competitions. It is quite unexpected and interesting. A huge number of our young people are involved into this phygital movement. We see that good teams are represented here,” he concluded.
