On 19 January at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the Russian Post Mikhail Volkov discussed implementation of the programme of capital overhaul of post offices in the republic, which is being implemented by the errand of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Thus in 2022 the republic carried out modernization of 15 post offices and 32 of them in 2023.
The participants of the meeting also discussed broadening the list of accessible services in post offices, attraction of human resources and implementation of the logistics potential of the republic.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that today there are 1 138 post offices with more than 8 thousand employees in the republic. “I would like to thank you for joint work. A post office is one of the key social facilities especially in the rural areas,” he emphasized.
During his trip to Kazan Mikhail Volkov will also take part in a meeting of the resulting collegium of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, IT and Communications.
