Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service Rustam Stepanenko

On 18 January at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service Rustam Stepanenko discussed the construction progress of a new pretrial detention centre for 1000 persons in Kazan.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Stepanenko stated the high speed of construction work. “All this is very impressive. In a number of facilities we have begun pre-commissioning activities. Thank you and your team so much,” he said.

The parties also discussed issues of cooperation in the sphere of Tatarstan correctional system and social adaptation of citizens after dispensation from imprisonment.
