On 18 January, speaking at a meeting of the International Supervisory Council of the National World Level Center “Rational use of liquid hydrocarbon deposits of the planet” held in the Scientific Library of the Kazan Federal University, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that due to active work of our universities the republic became second in the overall ranking of the scientific and technological development of Russian regions.
“Quite often we say that all educational and research infrastructural facilities envisaged by the national project “Science and Universities” work successfully in the republic. Last year their number increased by two advanced engineering schools, which are being established in Almetyevsk Oil Institute and Kazan National Research Technical University with the support from the federal budget and industrial partners. In its turn the leading Tatarstan technological university has become a participant of the special section of the Priority-2030 Programme, “he said.
The Rais of Tatarstan informed that 442 students projects of the republic – more than from any other entity of Russia- have won the competition of “Student’s Startup” and emphasized: “It is due to active work of universities that last year the republic became second in the overall ranking of the scientific and technological development of Russian regions.”
Rustam Minnikhanov said that during operation of the Romashkino oil deposit the scientific community of the republic gained unique skills and knowledge in working at hard to recover reserves.
“Currently this knowledge and experience are in demand in many oil-producing countries of the world. It is necessary to develop and multiply the existing theoretical and applied capacities. With this aim we included the leading domestic and foreign specialists in hydrocarbon raw materials geology into the council,” he concluded.
Participants of the meeting discussed reports about implementation of the Programme of the Center establishment and development in 2023, approved the amendments into the Programme for the planned period of time and approved the changes in the body of the international Supervisory Council proposed by the Rector of Kazan Federal University Lenar Safin.
