Rustam Minnikhanov meets Russian Emergencies Minister Aleksander Kurenkov in Moscow

On December 26, at their meeting in Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and  Russian Minister for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Aleksander Kurenkov discussed the work of the regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the results of its activities in 2023.

Minnikhanov emphasized that due to the coordinated work of all the departments in Tatarstan in the past year, it was possible to avoid emergencies with serious consequences.

The Rais of the republic also said that due to the support of Russian EMERCOM, systematic work is being carried out to update the equipment fleet.

The meeting participants also discussed issues related to improving the system for preventing and responding to emergencies in the region.
