On 22 December during his working trip to Nizhnekamsk , the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov opened a new ice palace which comprises an indoors skating rink with artificial ice, a gym and four cloak rooms. The palace also has a medical doctor’s room, procedure room, two rooms for coaches and rooms for judges.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnihanov emphasized that putting into operation of this facility is an important step in development of the city and raising the quality of life of its residents. “They have all conditions for hockey players and figure skaters here. Due to this facility residents of Nizhnekamsk will be able to turn their children to sports and healthy life style,” he said and performed a symbolic faceoff.
When walking round the complex, Rustam Minnikhanov also talked to young hokey players and wished them further sports successes.
