On 22 December upon his arrival on a working trip to Almetyesvk, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the educational-lab edifice of the Higher Oil School campus.

After presentation of the Technological Research Center with the stands dedicated to Petrochemical equipment and Machine-building technologies, Energy Audit and ITS, which demonstrated the existing developments, Rustam Minnikhanov was also shown  the lab of oil and gas production equipment with an interactive table and a lab of machine details and mechanisms and machine theory.

Speaking at a meeting with students and the faculty of the School in one of lecture rooms, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We are living in very hard time but nevertheless look how our country is changing. Yesterday Russian President Vladimir Putin opened the highway M-12 which is 800 kilometers long without any traffic lights from Moscow to Kazan. Two days ago I myself drove along this modern road with wonderful pumping stations and multifunctional centers with the best service. I was very pleased that there are pumping stations of our oil companies on this highway.”

Sharing his impressions from the Alekseyevsk – Almetyevsk highway, the Rais of Tatarstan said: “Today we came from Kazan to Almetyevsk by cars along the new highway Alekseyevsk – Almetyevsk under construction. It took us very short time to travel. Yes, there are parts without asphalt yet but I am sure we will open it next year. And entering Almetyevsk one can see at once how the city has changed lately. Today it is a beautiful modern city! It is the city comfortable for living and studies. What do you need to attract young people to the city? First of all you need a good educational center, good schools and kindergartens. Almetyevsk has all these and most important – an authoritative institute to study here. Today we are establishing the world class scientific research center here.  And all this is due to the Tatneft Company which invests a lot into the development of education.”
