At the XVIII meeting of Association of the Council of Municipalities of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov set forth a number of tasks for 2024 and hands in state awards

On 19 December speaking at the XVIII meeting of Association of the Council of Municipalities of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov set forth a number of tasks for the work of municipal powers with population for 2024.

“The coming year is very responsible for us. First of all we are having the election of Russian President in March and in September we are holding elections to the State Council of the republic. Elections are always a test we are giving to the electorate. Head of municipalities are personally responsible for preparation and holding election on sites. You are directly working with citizens and have everyday contact with them,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, he said: “Efficiency of your work and communication with citizens influence the development of their attitude to the power bodies. Much work has been done lately both in the country and the republic but still there many issues which worry residents. It is not possible to solve all problems at once and you must speak about this honestly and openly with residents. They should be informed about priorities of development of territories and work done in this respect by power bodies and terms and stages of solution of this or that issues.”

The Rais of the republic also reminded about traditional meetings with population to be held in January and February and reports of heads and members of the association at meetings held with citizens and informed about a number of large scale events to be hosted by Kazan next year, such as the first international competition the Games of the Future in February and the next BRICS summit in October.

“Such large scale events are a high honor and a huge responsibility for us. Holding them requires large preparation work and most of the burden falls on the administration of Kazan. We also count on other municipalities of the republic to take an active part in this work,” Rustam Minnikhanov concluded and handed in a number of state awards to the most outstanding employees of municipalities.

He also handed in car keys to Heads of cities of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye from Lugansk republic Eduard Sakhnenko and Sergey Khortiv.
