On December 18, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit in Moscow to the stand of Tatarstan organized at the International Exhibition-Forum Russia, informed the heads of government of the CIS countries about cooperation between Tatarstan and the states that are members of the Commonwealth.
At the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the Heads of Government of the CIS countries attended the exhibition «Russia» at the All-Union Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh). The stand of the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the regions that the Russian Prime Minister has determined for visit.
Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and vice-premiers of such countries as Armenia and Turkmenistan visited the stand. Minnikhanov informed the heads of governments of the CIS countries about the cooperation of Tatarstan with the member states of the Commonwealth, and thanked colleagues for their personal attention to the development of cooperation.
He said that the foreign trade turnover of Tatarstan with the CIS countries increased by 15 percent and amounted to 2.5 billion dollars in 2022. This became possible due to regular visits and business contacts, both at the country level and by business delegations. The economic and industrial potential of Tatarstan was presented to the heads of governments of the CIS countries.
