Rustam Minnikhanov attends demonstration of a documentary film-research “Master of the Altay Mountains”

On 15 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the demonstration of a documentary film-research “Master of the Altay Mountains” represented by the Inter-regional Association “The Center Irbis for studies and preservation of the snow leopard”.

Before the demonstration the host of the event read out welcoming address from Russian President Vladimir Putin, which said:” I am sincerely happy that the demonstration of the documentary “The Master of the Altay Mountains” gathered a big and united team of enthusiasts – like-minded people  such as zoologists, workers of game reserves, volunteers, representatives of public and charity funds and organizations and of course film makers, those who make a personal contribution into preservation of the snow leopard population and who are inspired by the remarkable beauty of the original nature of the Mountain Altay. I would like to emphasize that in Russia issues of nature and rational nature use are rightly among common national priorities and the work of the Center Irbis is substantial and responsible “.

The producer of the film Ali Uzdenov also said a few words to the audience.

Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Aleksandr Shadrikov and other officials also came to watch the film.
