Russian Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov gives evaluation to Tatarstan financial results: Everything is created for work here – the most advanced practices and conditions for economic growth

On 15 December, speaking at a joint collegium of Tatarstan Ministry of Finance, the Department of the Federal Tax Service for the republic and the Department of the Federal Treasury for the republic in Kazan, Russian Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov said that according to the social and economic evaluation of the Russian Ministry, Tatarstan ranks second in its main results among other entities of federation after Moscow and St Petersburg.

“All this proves that the region attaches attention to development of the investments climate and creation of conditions for business. Tatarstan has the most advanced practices and conditions for the economic growth – everything here is done for work. It was not by chance that at his press conference yesterday Vladimir Putin said that Rustam Minnikhanov is one of the most efficient best heads of Russian entities,” the Russian Minister said.

Anton Siluanov reminded that the regional budget is also one of the best. “The budget situation in the region is one of the best in Russia. As far as taxes and revenues are concerned then as of 1 December the regions is the fifth among other Russian entities by its own tax revenues. The quality of finance management is also good here. The budget sustainability is reached due to well-thought budget planning and implementation. We can see that tax revenues are growing. I am speaking about this with good reason as we do not know what situation we are going to have next year – whether it also will be favourable or not. It is necessary to have a budget resource to respond to possible unforeseen circumstances next year. In the region everything is successful and sustainable. We can only thank you for the budget,” he said and informed that the support from the federal budget will continue next year too.

Naming the tasks for the coming 2024, Anton Siluanov said:” 2024 is the year of completion of national projects and the President of the country will hold us responsible for how the task of the national development were fulfilled. He will hold both regions and the federation responsible. So next year we will have to fulfill the national projects KPIs, to implement a number of tasks for ensuring technological sovereignty as well as such additional tasks as accelerated raise of the subsistence wage.

“The budget of the republic for the next period has been approved. It is sustainable and there are also assets. And most important there are people who use these assets efficiently,” the Russian Minister concluded.
