On 12 December, speaking at a briefing in the Government house of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova informed that in 2023 Tatarstan has allocated 1.595bn rubles, including 692m from the federal and 393m from the regional budgets, on the Culture National Project.
The briefing was dedicated to the results of the Year of National Cultures and Traditions in Tatarstan and implementation of the Culture National Project in 2023 and Irada Ayupova reminded that by the Culture project Tatarstan is the leader in the number of commissioned cultural facilities in the rural areas.
She spoke about work done by the Cultural Environment regional project, the aim of which is improvement of material and technical basis of cultural facilities and informed that four theatres were opened in the republic with the support from the federal budget in the last five years.
“The money we invest into culture and ecology tell us that we are thinking about next generations. It is extremely important for us,” Irada Ayupova said.
Having informed that more than 5 thousand cultural events and actions were held in the republic in 2023, the regional Minister reminded that 2024 is planned as the last year for implementation of the Culture National Project.
Irada Ayupova named the key events of the Year of National Cultures and Traditions in the republic and told the launch of a new project “Tatarstan – the republic of achievements”, the aim of which is to tell what the republic has already achieved and give everyone the opportunity to get acquainted with scientific, technological and cultural potential of the country and the region.
