On 11 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kazan Federal University (KFU) Dormitory N6, which underwent capital overhaul in the current year and is located on Adel Kutuya Street in Kazan.
The facility built in 1976 has administrative, educational and living zones, including 213 living rooms for 600 people.
After Rustam Minnikhanov was told about work done during the overhaul, he, accompanied by other officials, looked round living rooms, where the Rector of the University Lenar Safin and the Vice Rector in Economy Almaz Mingulov showed Rustam Minnikhanov how the hall in front of elevators is used for organization of the educational and leisure time activities.
When looking round living blocks, a reading room and other facilities, the Rais of the republic talked to students and also visited a room of a disabled student from Orenburg region.
Rustam Minnkhanov reminded that the capital overhaul was paid for from the federal budget and thanked the federal government for its support.
“We can see that large and positive changes are happening at KFU. Today it is important to provide comfortable conditions for students’ life and studies. Keep it up!” he concluded.
