Rustam Minnikhanov: The land of Tatarstan has always brought into world courageous and utterly devoted to their duty people

On 9 December at a traditional regional meeting of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, congratulating residents of the republic with the Fatherland’s Heroes Day, said: “Today our country is celebrating the Fatherland’s Heroes Day. This day we pay a tribute to all those who over the years showed heroism and courage in  military actions, protection of the Fatherland and by their selfless labour and high achievements made an invaluable contribution into the development of the country. The land of Tatarstan has always brought into world courageous and utterly devoted to their duty people. For us they are a bright example of heroism, resilience and courage.”

He also stated that today is the International Anticorruption Day. “Efficient fight against corruption is one of conditions for successful development of our country. We are focused on implementation of large investment projects and further improvement of quality of life of our residents. This is impossible without systemic work in providing publicity and openness of all levels of power. Of course corruption prevention is a comprehensive and difficult task and the most important constituent of it is developing zero tolerance of the society towards corruption. Every person, and first of all administrators at all levels should remember that it is important to start with themselves. We can reach the final success only with the active support of residents of the republic. The most important is that it is joint work of the power and the society,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.

The Rais of the republic also reminded that 12 December next week is the Day of the Constitution of Russia which will be 30 years old in the current year. He state that the Constitution established the basis of the legal system of our country, played the most important role in stabilization of  social processes and confirmed the rights and freedoms of a citizen as the highest value.
